The Visitor, the heavy rain and a movie

It's the old Uni, visiting in Singapore...taking a run in the park, (showered with heavy rain - something new), dressing up, fixing up the hair, the tralala Uni going out for movies, just dining out and being carefree..Even just for a day, it's nice to see her again. Tomorrow, she'll be gone again, and it's back to black polo, jeans and sneakers, and bunned hair. Work work work girl, get more scars and you'll get a better job soon, haha. Don't worry about scars, because someone will see pass through those and see you..=)

Running in the park while being showered with heavy rains felt nice. no umbrella, no money, no hp, no nothing! Just catching all the raindrops. It felt nice aftewards, felt refreshed and like all my worries were washed away. While waited for the really really heavy rain to subdue, I took the time to pray, and realized that I haven't been fully focused on God...So at that time, I had nothing, nothing, no one else, but God. and it felt great, knowing that He never leaves. Dark clouds over me, rain pouring on me, but still He never lets me go, literally and figuratively. Walking home with my clothes and sneakers all wet and squeaky, it was quite embarassing when people looked at me, but who cares anyway?haha, I'm going home wet yet with a renewed mind. (just hope i won't get sick)

He's Just Not That Into You..who invented the rules anyway, why are there rules and exceptions. why do girls become so pathetic and desperate, why do guys act stupid? The world goes round and round and i guess it'll never change. haha. Haven't watched movies of the category for almost a year now. Maybe was just avoiding the fact that I am one of them girls, desperate for a special person, or don't want to watch so that i won't feel the want/need for companionship...Whatever it is, I watched one for the night, and felt safe all throughout. Fell asleep, but just for a moment, and it was in the safest place in Singapore..hahahaha. Love Actually is definitely better.

Insomnia attacks o_o

Couldn't sleep, and waking up early in the morn. Worrying about silly things, thinking about what i should be doing, impatient where He would lead me in the future.

Eyebags could only grow darker, bigger darker circles under the eyes. Ha! 'Tis truly the effects of anxiety. Sooner than I can realize, I'd be having eye wrinkles too, white hair, and so on.

There's so much things to try in life...how can you fit it all within the timeframe (which is actually uncertain). But one thing's for sure, I'm part of a mission, a soldier. The problem is, what am I doing? It seems like I'm hiding from the battlefield, my gun without bullets, my sword unsharpened, my armor useless. Guess, I need a lot of training to fight on. To be equipped with the Word, and love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control. I have to endure, persevere and go onwards. March on!

*I'm currently in a job: I used to tell everyone "I want to start working in the lowest rank", "It would be nice to learn how it is to work hard, as if you have nothing" Now I'm experiencing it all, and growing tired of it. 2 months has passed, 10 long months more...

Tribute to a mother of two

Everyone has their dreams:

I know one who wants to put up a farm in her home country, with chickens, and pigs. When she earns more than enough money, she'll be giving to the needy...helping the poor, the old people in the streets of her homeland. Right now, she's just working hard. Her cheerful mood gives the impression that she doesn't give a damn about anything, but she does. She's strong the way she is, because of the things she went through. All her life, felt unloved by people, mistreated even, nonetheless, she's standing firm. Certainly not afraid of anything...too unafraid i must say.

She'll seem uncivilized in some ways, but her past explains it all. I'm happy to have met her, and still continuing to know her. A good mother, seeking to provide for her daughters, a friend willing to share anything, a passionate person, doing what she can if she's able to.

At first glance, i wouldn't want to be associated with her. But knowing her, it taught me that no matter how rude people may seem..there's always a tinge of goodness (by God's grace, haha) in them. Kindness that can comfort a weary little girl, laughter that can tickle a saddened heart. Even though people seem so carefree, they have dreams. Dreams floating in the air, waiting for their chances to catch it.

Sometimes you'll just have to look deeper to see the person inside them.

Heart o'er troubled waters

Why would anyone want to jump into troubled waters? You could say they're stupid, or could be that they're into the sudden rush of feelings, or because of something else..but whatever the reason is..it's their choice. They choose to do so, knowing the risks, the pain it would cost them. I guess you'll never know unless you really test the waters. And you can just wait for the water to calm eventually, which i'm sure would.
You'll just have to wait, be patient, and see how things work. You'd get scared, fearful that you would drown and no one will be there to save you. Yeah, there's a possibility that'll happen, but then, it will only be for some time, then surely you'll rise up from it, and swim, going with the flow of the current, leading you somewhere else.
The thing is, it's definitely a choice one takes...if you choose to wait for the waters to calm, then i'm sure it would be rewarding at the end of it all. No matter what the outcome would be. The waters may continue to be troubled, and you'll just learn to deal with it; it may become calm enough for you to feel safe, and you'll just enjoy and savour the pleasure. However it may be, you'll emerge with a different perspective. Either ways, you can come out as a winner.

I'm taking my chances...to give without expecting anything in return. Stupid? Stubborn? Martyr? Who cares...I'm just learning to take risks, to be selfless...Maybe you can call it generosity "it's better to give than to receive"

First Midnight Movie

I'd give a thumbs up for the write-up and plot for the movie Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Such a unique and creative storyline, and for me, is quite captivating. Even though I was really really sleepy watching, the movie made me manage to stay awake. lol. To keep me awake at a sleepy state, would only mean that it got me really involved with it's story.

Benjamin Button (played by Brad Pitt) was born old, and as years pass, he grows younger...Although it's definitely not normal, I don't see anything wrong with it..Just that, he gets to see people around him die, while he grows younger each year. But come to think of it..isn't it the same if he was born normal ang grows old as everyone does...he'll also get to see the people around him die, so I guess it's almost the same thing. What might have been the most difficult thing for him was to accept that he would not be capable of being a father to his daughter, moreso, a husband to his wife.
As for Daisy (Cate Blanchett), who when she was still young, (i think) actually fell in love - not superficially, for she saw the kid in Benjamin even as he seemed like an old man. I pity her, because she had to bear not growing old with the man she truly loves..instead she had to take care of him, as he grows younger, and as he dies.

Cinematography wise, there's this one part that indeed i believe was really amazing, how they captured the feel and emotions of the baby Benjamin dying in the arms of Daisy.
Definitely no need for special effects or whatsoever, the story itself was able to carry out the movie. Yes, this is a nice movie, one that totally made the difference among the typical predictable storylines of other films. I suppose there's no need to mention how the actors executed their characters...they managed to put themselves in the place of the characters they play..they were one with their characters.=)

As always..i'm full of crap..lol.heck, these are my opinions anyway.i'm entitled to my own opinions.haha.
